Aleutian Atlas Founders
Annie Iden helps people chart their careers with the same precision she’s used to guide organizations through major transformations. With nearly two decades of experience in workforce strategy, operations design, and talent development, she’s built a career on understanding how skills—not just job titles—open doors to opportunity.
A US-licensed CPA with bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Brigham Young University, Annie has lived and worked across North and South America, Europe, and Asia, bringing a global perspective to career growth. She is known for turning complex career pathways into clear, actionable roadmaps—helping people identify their unique strengths, develop in-demand skills, and navigate change with confidence.
Before co-founding Aleutian Atlas, Annie led large-scale talent and organizational strategy initiatives for companies of all sizes, from startups to Fortune 100s. She developed frameworks for performance management, learning and development, and career pathing that have reshaped how people grow within their organizations.
At Aleutian Atlas, Annie blends her corporate expertise with her passion for personal coaching, empowering clients to make career moves that align with their values, strengths, and long-term vision. Michelle Rankin is an award-winning University Educator and experienced Senior Tax Manager. In addition to her work with Aleutian Atlas, she works as a Professional-in-Residence Tax Faculty member in the Accounting Department at Utah Valley University. Within the university Michelle is known for her rigorous graduate-level tax curriculum and ability to connect with her students - providing an experience that is challenging and applicable, yet supportive and achievable.
Prior to joining academia, Michelle spent over 15 years working in the accounting profession, within both public and private accounting roles, at companies such as EY, Tanner, and Woodbury Corporation. She earned her Bachelor and Master of Tax Accountancy degrees from Brigham Young University in December 2005 and is a licensed CPA under the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.
Her work with Aleutian Atlas is driven by her belief that trajectories in life are not one-size-fits all and that the greatest fulfillment is found when we stretch beyond our comfort zones to gain skills and design careers that fit our uniquely personal goals.
Michelle is passionate about understanding the needs and challenges of her students and clients and, using the experience and skills she has gained throughout her career, has a strong ability to create curriculum and workshops that are engaging and push attendees to develop new perspectives and skills.
